CLIENT – MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR
LOCATION – WESTERN AFRICA
MISSION – To evaluate the efficiency of various Personal Protection Ballistic Equipment (PPE) items, procured from different sources, being selected by the Police prior to the equipping of a Formed Police Unit (FPU) being trained to be deployed on United Nations Policing Duties.
DURATION – 7 days.
STAFF – 2 x specialist instructors deployed to country.
PROGRAM – Test units shipped by various manufacturers. Standard NIJ ballistic industry testing protocols & procedures applied. Cameras & sensors set up on ranges. Full capabilities evaluation base parameters set. 40 sets of soft and hard ballistic armour were independently tested with varying degrees of success. Subsequent study & report compilation and pertinent recommendations made.
OUTCOME – Testing was successful – Evaluation & assessment report delivered to client. Purchase made based on our report findings.
